Application Support Analyst

My client, a global brand name, and innovator within their industry, are currently in the process of growing their support team.
The IT Application Support Analyst will be responsible for the provision of 3rd line application maintenance and support services on the business systems and services, as well as their market leading ERP product.
Key areas of the role
- Providing application configuration and maintenance on the business facing systems, by becoming an expert on the use of all aspects of these systems.
- Delivering support to existing business users and investigating and resolving application errors, data discrepancies and queries.
- Developing, where agreed and feasible, customizations to the in-house services.
- Working with colleagues in identifying and proposing application system changes, better uses, enhancements and developments and liaising with appropriate vendors, users and the IT Team.
To be considered for this role, you will have experience in the following:
- Experience of supporting Web applications with a good understanding of ASP.NET, MVC.
- Commercial experience of recording and solving applications support issues.
- Knowledge of web programming languages and development methodologies.
- Having a good understanding of some business analysis techniques.
- Experience with Azure would be beneficial, but not essential.
- Experience supporting legacy web systems and desktop applications would also be beneficial, but not essential.
