My client, a Glasgow success story, and family business with a Global reach, are moving into the next stage of their rapid growth plan. With multiple hires in the IT team at present, my client are really establishing themselves as a powerhouse in their industry,
One aspect of the business which is seeing some major growth is in Data and BI, and in particular Big Data. With the introduction of tools such as Hadoop and Spark, my client requires an experienced Big Data engineer to continue to build the data environment.
Working with global brand name Oil, Gas, and Retail clients, and utilising IoT devices, the scope of incoming data is massive, and as the successful candidate you will be responsible for implementing optimum data lake storage, and retrieval methods.
To be considered for this position, you will have experience in the following technologies:
- Apache Hadoop
- Apache Spark
- Azure Data Lake
- Azure Cosmos DB
- NoSQL
- IoT
