Rare opportunity to join this newly created Business Process team within a Global and highly respected business within their industry. As an integral part of this global business you can expect that global and domestic travel will be part of your role in the longer term but until it's safe to travel you will be based mainly from your office location with some flexibility for 1-2 days working from home. 

Your job will be to work across all areas of this large business to ensure governance of the companies operating model and ultimately make sure the most effective and efficient outcomes for the business as a whole.

There are a number of newly created business process, frameworks and governance which will be mapped out for you upon your appointment and your job will be to communicate effectively with all leaders within the business to understand pain points, monitor compliance to process and assist with continuous improvement.

You will be accountable for:

  • Monitor how the business operates in relation to the specific requirements of the business for both its normal functioning and the governance aspects, with the acknowledgement that management have primary responsibility for this outcome - it your job to identify rather than fix!
  • Support the Business Units and Central Services teams to ensure the on-going development of business processes in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of company operations
  • Ensure that the development of mapping out processes takes place in accordance with the governance procedures and in the overall interests of the company
  • Ensure that any design changes or developments are accurately detailed within the the business process and the relevant members of the team have oversight of these and can evaluate their conformity to the business principles
  • Support the business to design process improvements where required in line with the operating principles
  • Monitor all documentation relating to business process and check that accurate details of the agreed process and documentation are updated in a timely and efficient manner
  • Work with the team to ensure full understanding of the relevant processes and ensure all training materials accurately reflect the agreed process
  • In an initial phase support the business to develop the business processes and build process design capability within the organisation with a network of process champions
  • Support the team where required to help management embed the processes defined in the business, with the right level of rigour and discipline in order to ensure the integrity and timeliness of all related matters
  • Ensure that the process owners are fully aware of their responsibilities, supporting the people leaders to ensure these are accurately reflected in role profiles
  • Operate as an independent entity, cooperating closely with the business, yet retaining the necessary degree of independence and robustness with required and well-justified interventions on Company matters
  • Support the Business Planning, Reporting & Internal Markets Lead to actively communicate the existence of and the rationale for having these business processes so that all employees are properly informed and able to understand the need for its practical implementation
  • Support the Communications & Training Lead to develop materials for compulsory training programmes as needed.

You should have previous experience within a Business Process/Controls role with knowledge of continuous improvement and governance, ideally within a large global business. It's important that you have strong stakeholder engagement skills and an understanding of the role of change management within business.

  • Proven business analysis and problem solving skills are key, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with all levels across a large business.
  • If you have experience within the drinks sector or FMCG markets this could be advantageous.
