Technical Support Engineer Contract

£300 day rate (umbrella fee)

On site/office based - Richmond, West London

Inside IR35

3 month contract (likely extensions)


Role Outline

In this contract role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing site technical support, operational services maintenance, upgrade and installation of IT systems and applications used within the company to maintain and enhance performance of those systems.

This will be a great opportunity for Desktop Engineers or 2nd/3rd line Infrastructure Support Engineers who are strong in Windows/MS technology.

The client is looking for a good all-rounder with Windows 10, SCCM packaging, Building and windows update skills.

Experience of MS Teams and Cisco VC equipment would be beneficial.


Main Responsibilities

  • Advise & assist onsite company staff to maintain high service
  • Prioritise & resolve support requests
  • Implement policy & strategy for IT systems to ensure both staff & systems comply with requirements & standards
  • Configure, monitor, maintain systems
  • Work with 3rd parties to diagnose issues & troubleshoot


Skills & Experience

  • Windows 10 & Server 2008-2019
  • SCCM
  • Active Directory, Group Policy & Print Management
  • MS Exchange Online & 365
  • Virtualisation (VMWare ideal)
  • Citrix
  • Remote Desktop Services
