Due to continued growth throughout 2024, they are looking to add a Data Security Consultant to their team. This can be a home-based role anywhere in the UK. This will require someone who knows IT Security and Data Loss Prevention while being capable of recommending solutions to a varied client base.
The Data Security Consultant is responsible for delivering high-quality professional services engagements across both the Cyber and Information Security realms.
The role
- Work with clients on a consultative basis to provide data security and regulatory compliance solutions utilising Purview Security and Compliance proficiencies. This will cover proof of concept and solution design through to implementation and optimisation.
- Engage with clients to understand their business operations, challenges and risks.
- Gather requirements by collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to assess current and future business needs.
- Take business requirements and create technical architectures, visions, and strategic roadmaps to futureproof their business.
- Be their subject matter expert in Data Security and Information Governance.
- Remain updated on industry best practices and maintain an acute understanding of security and compliance technologies.
- Collaborate and knowledge share with strategic partners.
What we are looking for
- Proficient in discussing modern ideas around information classification, data leakage, and risk management using Microsoft Security and Compliance offerings.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering such solutions including technical and architectural documentation, designs, operating models, and solution specifications.
- Knowledgeable across the wider Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Familiarity with significant regulatory compliance standards applicable to organisations utilising cloud services or engaging in general data processing.
- Proactive and client focused attitude to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Nice to have – MS Purview deployment experience.
