Database Analyst - Cumbernauld site/Hybrid working model
Company overview
Our client, a market-leader operating in the international distillery industry with many offices in the UK and worldwide, is looking for a Database Analyst to join the ever-expanding business.
Role
- Provide 2nd line and 3rd line support to databases, taking ownership of resolving issues within agreed timeframes.
- Provide support to the Business Intelligence and reporting platforms in line with corporate standards and aid the effective delivery and running of Business Intelligence Service.
- Continually monitor data and activity, discovering patterns in growth, data trends, planning and reviewing capacity to meet company-standard objectives.
- Organise and implement maintenance on services to deliver optimal performance on data management and reporting.
- Recommendations of future developments in areas like database design, architecture and hardware configuration.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with 3rd party and establish strong engagement from key stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent industry experience.
- Recognised training or related experience in methodologies delivering business information through structured tools/solutions.
- Developed technical experience managing data platforms and BI tooling in a multi-site/international environment.
- Solid skills with databases and proven techniques in monitoring ability, and delivering business benefit from established reporting infrastructure
- Experience in building relationships across functional, geographical, cultural and skill-related sets.
- Ability to utilise best practice methodologies in identifying, influencing, delivering and implementing change/improvements in operations.
- Professional representation of the department/function (internally and globally) to key customers and suppliers and capacity to communicate effectively in technical discussions.
- Knowledge of industry standards and Microsoft technologies (on premise and Azure).
