Overview
This a really exciting opportunity for an experienced full-stack Software Engineer opportunity with a young, vibrant start-up. This vacancy is perfect for someone who loves or would love to help build an engineering function & product from near scratch.
The company currently has a product fit & the plan is to build a web app, potentially followed by a mobile app. Web development experience is key, mobile is a bonus.
Totally greenfield work, lots of responsibility but plenty of freedom, very fast-paced due to the start-up nature. The product is aimed at improving public health through lifestyle changes so it's using tech for moral purposes.
The company is a remote first company with a base in Edinburgh and they welcome job applications from anywhere within 2 hours of British time (Must have right to work in EU or UK)
Technology
In terms of tech stack, the person filling this vacancy would have a huge say in how the product proceeds but here is a list of the technology that the company absolutely love:
- React/ React Native.
- Typescript & NodeJS experience would be great.
- Experience across devops tooling, building cloud infrastructure, or SQL are also really useful.
- This engineer needs to be skilled in both front & back-end development (not a problem if one is stronger than the other).
- Some familiarity with Wordpress or another industry standard CRM is a nice addition but not required.
- Deep web development experience is a must.
- Mobile development experience is a bonus.
