Excellent Benefits

Our client is actively recruiting for Graduate Software Engineers in Scotland.

This opportunity would be fantastic for talented graduates who are looking to take their first steps into industry! If you are a recent graduate within a STEM field who just wants to get your foot in the door within a large, diverse, software focused environment and is desperate to learn & improve as a developer - then this is the perfect opening for you!

You would be joining a software product development team based in Glasgow, within a highly successful international company.

The company is very open to remote working across all its staff so they can consider candidates from parts of Scotland outside the Glasgow area. Although this comes with the caveat for graduates it is often better for learning new skills & personal development to be able to come in to the office a bit.

The role would be a full stack role, although with heavier back end development. You would be developing in Java (Spring) & JavaScript (React) & SQL, amongst other things.

  • Develop new product features, troubleshoot, identify and diagnose, develop code to resolve product quality issues.
  • Develop code fixes and patches in response to Quality Assurance (QA) and Support raised issues
  • Consult with product management and quality assurance for clarification of requirements and timescales.
  • Participate in internal activities – meetings, build reviews

  • STEM Degree at 2:1 level or above (for Bachelors) or STEM Masters
  • Particular preference for Computer Science or Software Engineering/ Development degrees
  • Strong understanding of object oriented programming
  • Ability to code in Java comfortably - experience with Spring framework is a bonus but not required.
