The client, a Glasgow success story, and now global leader in their field have a requirement for an experienced IT Group Manager to join their team in Glasgow HQ.
As the successful candidate, you will have demonstrable career progression from an Infrastructure support role, into a current team lead or other leadership position.
In this role you will have responsibility for ensuring IT Infrastructure is running smoothly from a business point of view - so experience in licensing agreements, asset management, business relationship & supplier management, change process, and multi-location support, with 5 UK based sites, and over 200 IT employees, this is a pivotal role in the continued success and growth of the organisation.
In this position you will have no direct man-management, instead working in the background and being solely responsible for ensuring teams can complete their roles efficiently.
On saying that, you will have come from a technical background, and be comfortable in Server, Network and Telephony environments. The current technical landscape is a mix of Microsoft, Azure, VMware, Cisco, and although not required to be hands-on, an ability to 'get the sleeves rolled up' would be very beneficial.
The client work to rapid release schedules, and have an extensive project pipeline set up, including a major Azure migration.
