My client is looking to work with their next Hardware Engineer, you will be based in their Edinburgh HQ, working on complete video security products.
The role will involve testing state of the art products to standards of the company's current test strategy, evaluating issues or weaknesses through systems and processes. Ideally you should already have required skills in electronics to enable you to asses any failure during the process of testing. My client also hopes to speak to someone that will be able to travel when required to external facilities.
Essential Skills
- Knowledge on Electronics principles, cable wiring and test design
- Able to produce technical documentation
- Experience in performing hardware qualification for state-of-art products
- IP Networking fundamentals and some configuration / setup
- Basic mechanical construction skills
- Flexibility in international travel will be required
Desirable Skills
- An understanding of Cameras/Network equipment
- Experience using Test tools and bug reporting
- CCTV system knowledge
- Working to certification standards
