We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Service Desk Technician to join a leading global company based in Edinburgh. This role will be joining the company's busy service desk which supports colleagues with any technical issues or required IT support.
The role will involve:
- Triaging issues and service requests via phone, e-mail and portal
- Troubleshooting colleagues issue(s) and resolve upon first contact, when possible
- Providing "how to" assistance on all internally supported devices and systems
- Escalating issues and requests to appropriate specialist support groups / subject-matter experts
- Leveraging internal and external resources (knowledge bases, manuals, support sites, vendors) to answer questions and resolve issues
- Contributing to the creation/maintenance of FAQ documents, knowledge articles and user guides
We are looking for:
- Experience in a technical troubleshooting role
- Experience communicating with end users / customer service
- Knowledge/exposure to servicenow is desirable
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and applications
