Role: Infrastructure Support Engineer

Location: Edinburgh / Hybrid

 

The company

Our client specialises in delivering automated imaging solutions in the medical field, aiding professionals in healthcare provide diagnostic value and improving outcomes for patients. With an Edinburgh based office, and expansion to new premises to support continual growth, they are looking for a Infrastructure Support Engineer to join the administration and support team.  

 

The Role

With a move towards a complete Microsoft 365 environment approaching, there is huge opportunity to learn and develop skills as the client manages all services in-house. Main responsibilities include:

  • Support all IT services: Microsoft 365 (cloud & on premise) / Dell hardware / Windows desktops
  • Support Office hardware: Desktop & laptop / servers / printers
  • User account management: M365 / Windows / Google Suite / Cisco Duo
  • Server support: Patching / software updates / hardware support / server builds (GCP & on-premise VMware)
  • Supporting Applications: HR & Marketing (various web-based services)
  • Maintaining a secure work environment
  • Follow best practice and ensure security standards are implemented
  • Auditing / documenting current software and hardware

 

Required Skills / Experience

Essential

  • Microsoft 365 (Office and AzureAD)
  • IT Support experience
  • Active Directory / Domain experience
  • Desktop - Windows 10/11

 

Desirable

  • Microsoft Teams Admin
  • Helpdesk ticketing experience
  • SharePoint Admin Knowledge
  • Intune / Microsoft Endpoint Manager
  • Understanding of IT security best practices
  • Laptop builds and familiarity with Backups/Restore Products and Procedures
  • Experience with VMware
  • Google Workspace / GSuite Admin
  • Working with 3rd Party, suppliers, support services
  • Maintain Asset Register
