IT Manager /Head of Infrastructure and Operations

To provide technical leadership and strategic thinking for IT Operational Services, ensuring that the platforms and processes implemented can meet the current and future needs of a fast moving, ambitious organisation. This role will have overall responsibility for the Group IT Operations, Infrastructure, Service Desk and Client Services teams.

Provide technical leadership for the delivery of multiple IT projects across various business functions, including the management of budgets, resources, issues, risks and timelines. Work with stakeholders to ensure all operational and project requirements are met.

· Contribute to the IT Operations strategy to support Group strategic and business goals and demonstrate a strong understanding of emergent technologies, their relevance to the Group and how they can be utilised to deliver a competitive advantage to the organisation.

· Establish and evolve successful partner relationships with business leaders, senior stakeholders, internal teams, vendors and technology partners to provide technical leadership and expertise whilst maximising value for the company

· Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of high quality infrastructure services across all business functions, including the management of resources, issues and risks. Work alongside department leaders to ensure all technical resources, infrastructure and requirements are properly planned and available.

· Define and implement appropriate measures and controls across the Operations estate to ensure a performance capable, efficient and agile service that conforms to agreed SLAs

· Own, establish and implement governance frameworks to ensure quality standards and change control to best practise industry standards

· Lead, motivate, develop and retain high performing teams and ensure resources are aligned to priorities, consistently meeting deadlines, delivering against agreed SLA’s and KPIs’, are being challenged and have the appropriate skills.

· Drive and demonstrate continuous improvement in process, performance, productivity and quality

Highly Essential:

· Proven leader who can set objectives, drive operational excellence, performance manage a team and develop individuals to achieve their potential

· Extensive experience managing the delivery and support of IT Operations services

· Strong understanding of IT architecture disciplines, frameworks, concepts and best practices

· Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities

· Knowledge of technical infrastructure and estate management

· Strong written and oral communication, process, logical thinking and organisation skills

· Ability to work across organisations and cultures

Desirable:

· In depth knowledge of Microsoft, VMWare, Citrix, Networking & Security Technologies

· Project planning and management experience.

· ITIL certified · MCSE / MCITP · CCNA / CCNP
