Technical Operations Team Lead

South Lanarkshire (Bellshill)

The Technical Operations Team Leader will be responsible for the IT infrastructure for the the organisation both locally and, internationally. Managing a team of technical SME's, you will be able to seemlessly move from project delivery, to mentorship and training, to hands on work, to stakeholder and senior management meetings. The workload is incredibly varied, with some very interesting projects in the pipeline - Azure implementation, global ERP upgrade, introduction of hyperconvergence, and software defined networking, and global office moves.

The technical environment is predominantly a mix of Microsoft, Cisco, Azure, VMware and Citrix. Nexus and Nutanix are in the very early stages of introduction.

To be a success in this role, you will have demonstrable experience in the following:

  • A broad technical understanding across Server, Network, Storage, DR, Cloud and Virtualisation
  • Experience of leading teams, ideally including design of hiring, and training strategies 
  • Stakeholder and vendor management
  • Project delivery, including defining timelines
  • Input to technical design and architecture

  • Ability to make key decisions quickly
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to persuade / gain buy in from senior stakeholders
