Lead PHP Developer – West Edinburgh

Net Talent are looking for a Lead PHP Developer for a software company who are moving to West Edinburgh.

The successful candidate will ideally be a Senior or Lead software engineer. They will be involved in the development and support for multiple web applications.

This role will suit a Senior PHP Engineer looking to build experience in a production environment with a view to moving into bespoke development. The successful candidate will be pragmatic, ambitious and very service / customer oriented. They will be motivated by the opportunity to make a difference within a small business.

Most of the work is on the back end and as such OO design concepts, database programming, as well as a good knowledge of PHP is required. Some basic Javascript (Jquery / Dojo) would be an advantage. Linux command line / Bash scripting experience is essential.

Technically the role sits primarily within a traditional co-lo LAMP stack environment:

• PHP
• LINUX / command line knowledge
• Object oriented software development knowledge
• SQL development experience: MySQL / MariaDB

• Javascript experience (Jquery/Dojo) would be an advantage.
