Project Manager

Central Belt Scotland

Permanent

up to £50k plus benefits and bonus 

 

We are recruiting a Project Manager for our Global manufacturing client based Central belt Scotland, although this role will be homebased initially.

As the successful applicant, you will have extensive experience managing both Infrastructure and Business focused projects, utilising a range of delivery techniques - Prince2, Agile, Waterfall - and ideally have over seven years of experience in a similar role. logistics or Manufacturing experience would be a bonus, but if not, varied sector experience would also be great. This role would not suit someone who has been in a very process driven organisation for a long time. 

Some upcoming projects are: 

  • Intranet deployment
  • Network refresh
  • Server upgrade
  • Oracle upgrade
  • ERP upgrade
  • Migration to Azure

You will be equally as comfortable leading technical teams, as you are running workshops for non-technical business stakeholders. You will have strong vendor and supplier management experience, and capable of juggling multiple concurrent projects at once.

Previous successful candidates have been able to demonstrate a firm understanding of business process, often holding business, or accountancy degrees. 

This is a very autonomous role, there will be very little leadership, and no hand-holding, you need to be able to hit the ground running, evaluate the current project pipeline, create relationships with various business stream leaders, and deliver ASAP.

Budgets for these projects are generally sub-£1M, but you will have many on the go at once.

The client requires an adaptable individual who is happy to manage themselves.

Finally any experience in implementing a PMO function would be highly beneficial.
