Senior Data Analyst | £50-75k | Edinburgh/Glasgow | FinTech
Net Talent have multiple vacancies with a market leading FinTech business in the pensions and investments space. Working in this fast paced and dynamic business, you will work primarily with R and Python to develop sustainable and repeatable, solutions to problems. You will also engage with the teams evolving the modelling suite and digital platforms.
The role will involve working with stakeholders across a range of statistical, financial and development teams to develop your solutions. This role is not client facing but there is the scope to attend external events and deal with 3rd parties if you wish!
Key responsibilities will include:
- Development and maintenance of statistical modelling, including developing sustainable code for complex algorithms
- Hands-on calibration of models and publications
- Involvement in a range of R&D projects and innovative growth areas
- Involvement in commercially focused analytics projects, from the ground up
- Consulting on findings, with focus on application to Pensions and Investments clients
Skills and qualifications required:
- Demonstrable track record in developing sustainable R or Python code to solve commercial problems
- Experience of statistical modelling / data analysis
- Experience in financial and/or demographic modelling
- Experience of applying analytics in a Finance, Investments and/or Pensions = desirable but not essential
- This role will suit someone with qualifications in data science, actuarial science, finance or computer science
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent communicator, both to technical and non-technical stakeholders
