Role: Senior QA Engineer

Location: Bath / Edinburgh / Hybrid / Remote

 

The Company

Our client specialises in developing infrastructure that aids investment, pension and financial advice. As an ambitious company, they are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join the team.

 

The Role

Are you a talented Senior QA Engineer looking to work with various exciting products and features, then this could be the job for you!

With a heavy focus on automation, performance of manual testing will take place with the aim to convert to automated where possible.

  • Mentor team members to encourage improvements for products whilst enhancing with innovation and creativity, acting as a technical QA leader.
  • Working within multi-disciplinary teams alongside testers, developers, designers and managers, influencing the QA direction.
  • Improve QA processes and procedures, best practices and technologies.
  • Work within automation testing, debugging, deployment and support.

 

Required Skills / Experience

  • Working experience developing and implementing QA strategies alongside team members.
  • Experience testing products through the development cycle alongside product / engineering teams to the highest degree of testing coverage.
  • Organise manual testing and convert to automated testing where possible and locate untested scenarios working with the product team to guarantee best practices.
  • Solid understanding of automation testing frameworks – both back-end and front-end testing.
  • Excellent skills in JavaScript / Typescript and experience in API testing automation.
  • Experience working with simple user stories and moving to TDD / BDD using Gherkin.
  • ISTQB qualified or similar (desired).
