THE ROLE
This fantastic opportunity is for an experienced Lead Full Stack Software Developer who is comfortable using javascript and has Open Source back end experience.
Your main tasks with be developing and maintaining the companies platform using JavaScript/NodeJS, PHP, and MySQL; whilst working with stakeholders to develop viable solutions; assist with planning; scoping and technical design of projects; working with other team members; testing software to ensure it is reliable and following deployment processes.
You will be working with cloud-hosted platforms (AWS) & have the opportunity to get your hands on some cutting edge cloud technology like API Gateway, Lambda, Cloud Watch (& others).
What really makes this role exciting is the fact that you will be growing your own Glasgow development team so you would have a lot of responsibility and a lot of freedom to build your own team.
THE PERSON
- You will have experience working as a software developer and have strong javascript and open-source development skills. Comfort or ability in any of the following tech makes you a good potential candidate: JavaScript, NodeJS, JS Frameworks (React/Redux or similar), MongoDB, HTML5, CSS, Less
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Enjoy taking on new challenges and expanding your skill set
- Have a proactive attitude to work
