Role: Lead Java Engineer
Location: UK – Fully Remote
Salary Package: £70,000 – 85,000

Net Talent are partnered with a leading, reputable, modern bank to help search and source a talented Lead Java Engineer to help them develop the best product available for their customers.
The Role:
- Enthusiasm and passion for using modern scalable Java solutions on public cloud platforms and high levels of automation to help the business deliver innovative services quickly.
- Ability to breakdown and solve complex technical problems across multiple technology domains and successfully lead the design of new technology products and / or services.
- Strong software engineering background using Java and/or JavaScript frameworks.
- Proven hands-on experience holding one or more professional certifications.
- Strong knowledge of modern architectures, software development techniques and the toolchains required to effectively deploy and operate cloud solutions at scale
Technical/Experience:
- A commitment to code craftsmanship - clean, low-complexity, self-describing code
- Component development using libraries such as React, AngularJS or Ember
- Experience of cross-functional, self-managed teams
- Server-side JavaScript development using Node.js, ideally with experience of enterprise deployment
- Modern Java server containers and major java frameworks (e.g., Spring)
- Experience of DevOps automation and IaaS - ideally using Amazon EC2
