Your key responsibilities:

  • Translate high-level blueprints into solution designs with sufficient detail to ensure that implementation can commence.
  • Work with project delivery teams to provide continual guidance on implementation of the design, working through issues that may arise and offering solutions where possible.
  • Build and maintain a library of solution architecture patterns and practices to enable streamlined delivery of future solutions.
  • Work with vendors and implementation partners to ensure that proposed solutions are fit for purpose and aligned with the defined patterns and practices.
  • Work with the architect and development teams.

Professional skills / experience

  • A strong track record of designing solutions to customer requirements and budget. Evaluating necessary trade-offs and negotiating these with customers and stakeholders.
  • Proven communication and facilitation skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to colleagues at all levels of the organisation
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver technical projects
  • Comfortable dealing with customers, third parties and stakeholders at all levels in the organisation.
  • An ability to identify when subject matter expertise should be sought from peers and/or vendors.
  • Experience of working in a fast moving/challenging environment

 

Education / Qualifications

  • Qualified to degree level or have significant relevant experience.
  • Experience in integration or electronic commerce applications would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience of security practices and technology would be a distinct advantage
