My client, a very successful cloud based software provider for the healthcare industry, are currently looking to add a number of new positions to their growing team in Glasgow City Centre. One such position is a MYSQL DBA. We are looking for an experienced DBA, supporting solutions on an enterprise scale.
As the successful candidate, you will be solely responsible for the integration on a newly acquired companies MYSQL systems. Further down the line you can expect to gain great exposure across various Linux platforms and AWS. My client have an operations team in the USA, but you will be the first of a new operations team in the UK - this role has the potential to grow into an operations lead position over time,
To be considered for this position, you will have 4+ years of solid MYSQL, and database admin experience, including tuning, monitoring, replication, clustering and high availability.
Likewise, experience with MS Server 2008+, and MYSQL
Some knowledge of SSIS and SSRS would be very beneficial, but as the successful candidate, you can expect training on such tools.
