Overview of Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Team Lead to manage a team of developers delivering their Client applications for configuring and accessing our best-in-class digital surveillance and security technologies. You will be leading, inspiring and supporting the team at a technical level as well as producing high quality and scalable code.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Client Application development team, delivering digital surveillance products across Web, iOS, Android, and Windows Desktop
- Lead the planning and delivery of iterative product releases
- Accountable for the team output in terms of quality and adherence to timelines
- You will write well designed, testable, readable and scalable code in accordance with clean code principles and team standards.
- Liaise with Product Owners and Product Management to understand requirements and ensure high quality deliveries
- Coordinate with the team to produce estimates for upcoming work
- Initiate and manage new technology evaluations
- Drive technical direction of the products, keeping up to date with platform innovations
- Align with the Scrum Masters to provide transparency on issues and risks
- Work with PMO to provide insights into team capacity and other ad-hoc reports
- Support the development and growth of direct reports through mentorship, training, and performance reviews
- Collaborate with other Technical Leads to maintain overall solution architecture
Essential Requirements
- Experience managing developers delivering world class Client Applications
- Background developing Client Applications
- Experience building large-scale enterprise software
- History of working in an Agile development environment
- Experience working with globally distributed teams
- Understanding and exposure to CI/CD processes and tools
- Strong communication and prioritization skills
Preferred Requirements
- Previous development experience in any of the following: JavaScript, React, Angular
- Understanding of video streaming technologies
- Appreciation of UX design and guidelines
