Maggie's

We're proud to support Maggie's which offers free support to anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis including family and friends.

Maggie’s is based at The Western General Hospital in Edinburgh, in a warm, welcoming purpose-built centre surrounded by a beautiful garden.

Their expert team includes cancer support specialists and psychologists who provide a wide range of support including one to one and group sessions and advice on nutrition and exercise. Visitors are also able to access advice on claiming benefits from their benefits adviser. No appointment or referral is needed, just pop in. Maggie’s is almost entirely supported by voluntary donations from individuals and corporate partners.

The founder, Maggie Keswick Jencks, used her own experience of having cancer to create a new type of cancer care. The first Maggie's opened in Edinburgh in 1996, and they now have a network of centres across the UK and some abroad.
