BI Consultant, Remote

Net Talent are thrilled to partner with a leading data consultancy renowned for its expertise in insights, analytics, data science, and engineering. With several high-profile projects secured, they are expanding their team and seeking a BI Consultant to join a skilled group of consultants in a a remote role. 

 

As a BI Consultant, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary data team to help clients achieve their business priorities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimise BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
  • Design and build ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
  • Work with SQL databases to write queries, stored procedures, and optimize performance.
  • Develop and manage data models to ensure accuracy and efficiency in reporting.
  • Ensure data integrity and security across all BI solutions.
  • Drive high-quality, fast-paced execution while managing risks and trade-offs.
  • Facilitate effective communication between delivery teams and client teams.

 

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in Data Science, Data Engineering, and Analytics.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present to both technical and business audiences.
  • Strong proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, QlikView).
  • Expert knowledge of SQL and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Talend, Apache Nifi) and data warehousing.
  • Understanding of data modelling concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies is a plus.
  • Adaptability to various project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
