As they continued to modernise and evolve, they require a proactive Cyber Security Manager to help safeguard their organisation’s IT assets. Working from their Edinburgh office, you’ll play a key role in identifying vulnerabilities, investigating threats, and strengthening defences against evolving cyber risks. What You’ll Do
- Monitor and analyse network traffic to detect and respond to threats in real time.
- Investigate incidents, document findings, and implement improvements to prevent future breaches.
- Manage and optimise security controls, SIEM/SOC operations, and incident response processes.
- Partner with IT teams to assess risks, secure new technologies, and maintain strong security standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, penetration tests, and ongoing threat research.
- Promote best practices and security awareness across the organisation.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Cyber Security Manager (or similar role) in an enterprise environment.
- Strong grasp of firewalls, SIEM, IDPS, antivirus, and Microsoft 365 Defender/Security suite.
- Hands-on SOC/SIEM experience and ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Calm and decisive under pressure, with the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, or similar frameworks.
Bonus Points For
- Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+).
- Knowledge of Microsoft enterprise platforms (Azure, Active Directory, SQL, O365, Windows).
- Experience in penetration testing, risk management, and cyber awareness training.
- Ability to think creatively and anticipate threats from an attacker’s perspective.
