Cyber Security Manager, Scottish Food Producer - Edinburgh

Net Talent are proud to be partnering a Global food brand with a Scottish heritage dating back over a century.  As they continued to modernise and evolve, they require a proactive Cyber Security Manager to help safeguard their organisation’s IT assets. Working from their Edinburgh office, you’ll play a key role in identifying vulnerabilities, investigating threats, and strengthening defences against evolving cyber risks. What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and analyse network traffic to detect and respond to threats in real time.
  • Investigate incidents, document findings, and implement improvements to prevent future breaches.
  • Manage and optimise security controls, SIEM/SOC operations, and incident response processes.
  • Partner with IT teams to assess risks, secure new technologies, and maintain strong security standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments, penetration tests, and ongoing threat research.
  • Promote best practices and security awareness across the organisation.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Cyber Security Manager (or similar role) in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong grasp of firewalls, SIEM, IDPS, antivirus, and Microsoft 365 Defender/Security suite.
  • Hands-on SOC/SIEM experience and ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Calm and decisive under pressure, with the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, or similar frameworks.

 

Bonus Points For

  • Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft enterprise platforms (Azure, Active Directory, SQL, O365, Windows).
  • Experience in penetration testing, risk management, and cyber awareness training.
  • Ability to think creatively and anticipate threats from an attacker’s perspective.
