Senior Developer (C#), Scottish FinTech

Net Talent have partnered with a Scottish FinTech business who are looking for a Senior Developer to help with the design, build and implementation of creative applications to service the needs of a growing client list.

You will have experience as a Senior Developer who has technical expertise in modern technologies along with a well-structured approach to designing and developing business critical applications.

This is a Hybrid role and is 2 days onsite and can be in either the Edinburgh or Glasgow office.

As part of the team, you’ll engage with a modern tech ecosystem, solving complex software and data problems that contribute directly to business goals. You'll play a key role in crafting reliable, scalable solutions within an agile, DevOps-oriented setup, working with cutting-edge Microsoft and Azure technologies. Initially, you’ll work closely with a Technical Architect to build an advanced data lake, setting the stage for innovative AI-driven tools aimed at boosting team productivity.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with AI specialists to help design and implement bespoke copilot tools.
  • Collaborating with skilled professionals across diverse disciplines, all within a DevOps culture that encourages autonomy and high-quality engineering practices.
  • Playing a role in pushing forward innovation and enhancing the sophistication of our frameworks, system integrations, and automated processes.
  • Working closely with the internal data engineering community to stay current with new Azure data technologies, and helping to share best practices and strategic guidance across the company.

Things that will align you to this role:

  • Passionate about technology, especially the Microsoft development ecosystem, Azure cloud services, and modern data engineering tools – and ideally have hands-on experience with Azure or a solid background in MS SQL technologies.
  • Interested in or experienced with AI development, particularly in building tailored copilot applications.
  • Take initiative and ownership in solving problems, with a practical approach to building sustainable solutions.
  • Confident working across all phases of the software development lifecycle—from concept and coding through to testing, deployment, and continual refinement.
