We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior IT Engineer to join what is a dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

As an Senior IT Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and providing technical support to internal staff.  This is a hybrid working role that will involve 3/4 days onsite working in a busy, fast based environment. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to internal staff, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems, escalating complex issues to senior team members or third-party vendors when necessary.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of office IT infrastructure, including network equipment, servers, and telecommunications systems.
  • Perform regular system maintenance tasks, such as software updates, patches, and security enhancements.
  • Assist with user account management, including creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts as per company policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to staff on the use of IT systems, applications, and tools.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of IT support requests, resolutions, and system configurations.
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest IT trends, technologies, and best practices to continually improve our IT infrastructure and services.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar role providing IT support in a busy, fast paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Good network management skills.
  • Understanding of CRM systems.
  • Exposure to telephony technology and an ability to support e.g. Dialler/ICR/IVR systems).
  • Conversant with Disaster Recover/ backup solutions.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, and cloud-based productivity tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with staff at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
