Trainee Recruitment Executive

About you

You don’t need to have any previous recruitment experience. We’re more interested in your attitude, approach and personality.

You should be people-focused and driven, with a natural ability to build successful relationships. Great communication skills and a friendly adaptable approach is expected, alongside the ability to multitask, problem solve and lead by example.

It doesn’t matter to us whether you’re coming to us from a different industry or with no work experience at all. We’re looking for someone who is ambitious, hungry for success and who has the willingness to learn and grow a rewarding career.

You’ll need to demonstrate:

  • the ability to work well within a team
  • a friendly, engaging approach
  • an aptitude for sales or new business development
  • natural energy and self-motivation
  • tenacity and willingness to go the extra mile
  • Brilliant communication skills – in person, on the phone and in writing.

About the role

As a trainee recruitment executive, you’ll be part of our trainee programme. From day one, you’ll be immersed into our team and be exposed to wide variety of IT specialisms. You’ll also learn about our clients and discover what makes their business tick.

When you first start at Net Talent, we’ll kick-off the trainee programme which will see you “buddied-up” with a member of our team. We’ll help you get up to speed with our internal systems, our best practice and our business processes. We’ll also provide professional training and start you off on our enviable career development plan.

Once you’re fully inducted, you’ll be ready to start building relationships with potential candidates.

As is the nature of recruitment, there will be performance base targets and objectives to be met, inline with your career development plan. You’ll be incentivised by individual and team rewards, as well as recognition and promotion.

To allow you to succeed, we will ask you to achieve, plan and report on daily, weekly and monthly objectives (both KPI and financial) and set out annual business plans.

What you’ll do

You’ll source, screen and prepare skilled professionals to interview for vacancies our sought after clients have asked us to recruit for. We like to focus on building partnerships, so you’ll take time to understand our candidate’s motivations and goals, in addition to their professional qualifications and experience. You’ll steer candidates through the interview process and offer advice and guidance as required. You’ll maintain and grow our internal database of skilled candidates – ensuring candidate availability is up to date and all data held is accurate and compliant.

In addition, business development is also a key part of the role - when speaking with candidates, lead generation and market information should be collated and shared with the Net Talent team. You’ll be responsible for achieving individual and team targets and incentives as part of your training and development programme.

What you’ll get

  • We want to enable you to succeed, so with us you’ll get:
  • the chance to develop, learn and build a career from day one

  • a mentor to go to with any questions or advice
