Our client is actively recruiting for this extremely exciting Enterprise Cloud Architect that will lead a virtual cloud architecture function and focus on integration layers across all products. Driving strategy & execution. Guidance & oversight to technical teams in alignment with strategy. Building relationships with businesses & leaders. There will be no line management responsibilities, this is a thoroughly technical role with strong overlap of strategy/vision.
Responsibilities
- Review & deploy cloud-based data extraction, ingestion, transformation, data modelling, data access, data security, metadata management, master data management
- Work with data governance teams & stakeholders
- Design functional data models suitable for multi-cloud deployments
- Drive adoption of the Data Hub
- Innovate with emerging technologies where appropriate
- Manage/ define company-wide system architecture, roadmap, & standards
Required Experience/ Skills
- Experience leading Cloud Architecture functions (ideally at enterprise level)
- Building/ optimizing big-data pipelines
- Strong experience in at least one of AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Widespread knowledge across cloud & hybrid infrastructures, networking, data platforms, open source, database, application development
- Relational (MySQL/PostgreSQL) & non-relational (Redis/MongoDB, etc) databases
- Knowledge of Ingress (API, ETL) & Egress patterns
- Using solutions like Apache Spark (AWS EMR/Glue) Apache Airflow (AWS Managed workflows) Apache Kafka (AWS MKS).
- History of creating, documenting, & upholding standards
- Experience at enterprise level
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills & ‘culture builder’
- Degree in Computer Science/ STEM & relevant cloud certifications are big bonuses
