Leading  fintech Scottish based company is looking to appoint a CTO who will be  responsible for the running of all digital services, all technology related projects, and the management of technology related risks. The position includes team  management, stakeholder management, and supplier management. The successful candidate will be accustomed to operating at an executive level with the experience of leading the delivery of technical related projects and services across a business.

This company is well established and is growing their business in particular within technology and looking to recruit a number of key roles to support the CTO.

  • Demonstrable success in a similar role
  • Track record of managing, leading and developing individuals and building strong teams
  • Can demonstrate the delivery of business outcomes through use of third party and bespoke technologies in Financial Services.
  • Able to translate business drivers into projects and technical solutions
  • Experience of cloud technologies such as AWS, or Azure
  • Experience of on boarding and managing new technology service providers
  • Able to influence stakeholders, senior management and peers
  • Experience of managing technology risks under a Risk Management Framework
  • Played a leading role in the formation of Information Security and business continuity policies, plans and practices
  • Relevant professional qualifications
  • Experience of building a Business Data Strategy including the adoption of Company Wide MI tools.
  • Experience of working at executive level in a Fintech business

 

  • Participation in the wider technology and financial ecosystems through conferences and seminars etc.  
  • Board and Audit and Risk committee attendance and presentations.
  • Being responsible for shaping the team to help build a multi-million Fintech business in Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the provision and advancement of technology related services across the business considering aspects such as security, availability, business continuity, compliance, cost, and agility.
  • Align technology team priorities with that of the Company to achieve business outcomes within budget.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in everything the technology team are involved in.
  • Recruit, manage and grow internal and external teams to achieve Company objectives.
  • Negotiate new (or the renewal of) supplier services.
  • Supplier sign-off authority in line with Company budgets and business plans.
  • Overall line management of the technical team in line with the Company’s HR processes.
  • Responsible for the Company’s Information Security posture and cyber response.
  • Responsible for the Company’s Business Continuity plans and their continual evolution.
