DevOps Engineering Manager - Leading SAAS Company

Role

You will be expected to take ownership of a hugely scalable, high-availability platform, providing the best possible environment across infrastructure and operations to enable the engineering team to perform to the highest of levels.

You will be involved in leading significant architectural decision-making, rubber-stamping, predicting, and anticipating scalability issues, and working with containerisation, automation and management technologies.

 

People management is a big part of this: you must inspire through your example. Instilling best-practise, and bringing a vision for what a bleeding edge, Agile leader should be, is a crucial feature of a wide-ranging remit.

 

You will have line-management duties, along side your technical leadership responsibility.

Requirements

Knowledge and proven experience in a  Senior DevOps role

Proven experience leading Agile Development Processes

Strong knowledge of Linux, CI, CD, Docker, GIT, etc.


Ability to script: Ruby, Bash, Powershell, etc.

You have "vision" and a willingness to take ownership


Strong people management skills

Ideally, you have worked on SAAS products before
