Opportunity for Azure / AWS Certifications

Must be full UK Resident

The Role

This exciting opportunity is with one of the world’s most successful enterprise-level technology consultancies. They have a fantastic technical & business reputation in the British market and work on some of the country’s most high profile, high value, & complex projects.

In this position you would be working with 4-6 customers within a very high profile client & project list as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. As well as having strong technical skills to work as a hands-on Infrastructure Engineer, you will need a reasonable grounding in cloud systems but one of the main selling points of this role is that you have the chance to really expand your cloud experience.

You would be working in a tight-knit Cloud Team of 8 engineers. The team rotate between clients in order to continuously learn new skills & keep challenges fresh. You will need to be experienced & self-sufficient as an IT Infrastructure Engineer in order to provide a good service to clients, with the caveat that cloud will be a point of growth. You will also need to be comfortable working in a client-facing fashion. Some clients are on AWS, others are on Azure.

This would be the perfect opportunity for infrastructure engineers who have basic knowledge/ experience/ exposure to cloud systems but want to really develop this skillset. The company will expect you to learn on the job and will put you through AWS or Azure certifications. Fantastic opportunity for those thinking about long-term career growth!

Technical Profile

  • Windows stack is very important skillset: Servers 2003-2019, Active Directory, Group Policy, O365, System Center etc
  • Cloud Knowledge: You would require a reasonable level of knowledge & exposure to cloud systems but you do not need to have worked heavily with them. Azure cloud experience/ knowledge would fantastic but AWS would still be useful instead.
  • Virtualisation useful but not required: VMware ideal/ Hyper-V also acceptable
  • Knowledge of DevOps process is helpful but not required
