Our IT Project Managers work in dynamic environments, requiring flexibility and adaptability to handle various project types (e.g., infrastructure deployment, system upgrades).  

The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing technology projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and schedule. They collaborate with stakeholders, team members, and third-party vendors to ensure project objectives align with organisational goals and technological strategies.

 

Responsibilities:

Project Planning: Develop project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.

Team Management: Lead and manage project teams, assigning tasks, setting deadlines, and ensuring deliverables are met.

Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate project progress, and manage expectations.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing issues that may impact project success.

Budget and Resource Management: Monitor project budgets, expenses, and resource allocations to ensure adherence to financial constraints.

Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and best practices.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, reports, and status updates for internal and external stakeholders.

Change Management: Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs through formal change control processes.

Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to procure necessary services or products and ensure alignment with project goals.

Evaluation and Reporting: Conduct post-project evaluation and analysis to identify areas for improvement and prepare project closure reports.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in IT project management, handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, architecture and how it supports businesses.                     
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, ability to motivate teams, and resolve conflicts.
  • Proficiency in project management tools/software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
