Contract Application Cloud Project Manager
Global Cloud Migration - Applications to the cloud

Responsible for supporting the delivery of the Applications workstream of the Compute to Cloud project. This includes primary responsibilities for the day to day project management activities including leading the cut over activities of the workstream for each application. Specifically, this role requires combining the candidate’s background and project management experience, knowledge of program management best practices, and people leadership skills to ultimately support the delivery of the Project.
The candidate MUST have solid experience as a Project Manager on migration of over a hundred applications to the cloud, this is more of a "lift and shift" role as we have a Senior Project Manager managing the programme. - Please dont apply if you dont have the necessary experience!
Project management
Take full responsibility for the definition, documentation and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects (typically lasting 6-12 months, with significant business, political, or high-profile impact, and high-risk dependencies)
Have extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of program and portfolio management methodologies and tools.
Ensure that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and provides regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as appropriate.
Ensure Quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure.
Manage the change control procedure, and ensures that project deliverables are completed within planned cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off.
Provide effective leadership to the project team, and takes appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
Monitor and controls resources, revenue and capital costs against the project budget and manages expectations of all project stakeholders.
Technical and business knowledge
Demonstrated experience in migrating on premise applications to cloud technologies including implementation to SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS alternatives
Strong knowledge of ERP, ERP, CRM, Supply Chain, Finance, EDI, Interface, Business Intelligence, Portal technologies
- 7+ years’ experience managing or influencing technical staff and projects.
- Significant previous experience within an IT focussed role.
- Previous experience of delivering Cloud applications
- Experience of any ERP application is highly desirable
Experience working within a matrix structure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field, Masters preferred or equivalent combination of education/experience (foreign degree equivalent acceptable)
- Project Management certification (PMP or CAPM) from PMI (desirable)
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt (desirable)
