Opportunity
This hands-on software testing role would see you working within an agile product development team testing systems, software applications & platforms. This is a new vacancy within the team that has come about from natural growth & new investment into the team. You would be joining a team of 5 testers spread across a few different product teams.
The company are looking for an experienced test engineer who is used to working in an agile setting and on the cutting edge of technology. There is a continuous need for automation testing to be performed so any experience or familiarity of this will be massively helpful. The client would still consider manual testers if they show strong understanding, knowledge, & interest of automation testing. The client is not overly fussed what language candidates are most familiar with as C#, Java, or JavaScript would all be pretty useful. At the moment the testers are working in a more functional frontend test suite but this is likely to change in the near future to better align with the full development tech stack.

Experience
• Must have strong software testing experience.
• Ideally performing both manual & automation testing
• Active participation in Agile methods – stand-ups, reviews & retrospectives – and across the SDLC generally
• Constant learner & awareness of modern or emerging testing processes
• Testing from pre-production environments beneficial
• Team player who is collaborative, adaptable, & is a champion for quality.
Technology
You do not need to be an expert in all of this technology but experience across a selection would be very beneficial:
• Java, C# or Python backend (Java ideal)
• JavaScript frontend (any modern framework)
• JIRA or Defect Management Tools
• Windows & Linux platforms
• Basic infrastructure or networking concepts/ familiarity (VMs, VPNs, remote desktop)
• Any public cloud (AWS/ Azure)
