Our client, a market-leading FinTech consultancy are recruiting for an experienced QA Engineer to join their growing team across the Scottish Central Belt (hybrid, 2 days per week in Edinburgh/Glasgow, must have full UK right to work).
Key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing automated test frameworks (primarily .NET)
- Test planning
- Mentor and support quality analysts to use Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) techniques to implement automated tests.
- Unit/integration test at project level
- Maintaining quality of running code in production:
- Continuous testing, Monitoring, Azure resources, CI/CD
- Non-functional testing
- API test automation
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Strong experience of automated software testing for functional quality
- Experience in testing for non-functional quality, e.g. usability/reliability/compatibility/portability
- Experienced in agile, DevOps and BDD development environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the software delivery team.
- Familiar with and confident across the entire Software Development Life-cycle
- Collaborative team player
- Self-motivated with a drive to learn and share knowledge.
This business uses the following Testing tools: Microsoft Test Manager, Azure DevOps, SQL Server Management Studio, SpecFlow, Protractor, Selenium. If you have experience with any of these - great! If not, don't worry, their training is 2nd to none.
