Role: VCP Build/DevOps Engineer

They are looking to hire a Senior Build/DevOps Engineer to join the engineering department.
The Role
As the Senior Build/DevOps Engineer, your responsibilities will include improving and enhancing all processes in the engineering department, working with the cloud platform squad.
Other responsibilities include:
- Configuration of tooling and responding to the team’s continuous needs.
- Design, develop and implement team applications – sometimes learning new technology.
- Influence the technical direction / architecture of the team and individual engineers.
- Assist the deployment of products into the DevOps cloud platform, utilizing different technologies.
- Automation of processes where possible to build/deploy applications – Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Maven, Gradle, Artifactory, TeamCity, Ansible and Jenkins.
- Support and management of lower environments alongside the engineering team, developing CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure best practices implemented for cloud native and \Kubernetes solutions.
Essential Skills / Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in DevOps role or equivalent automation development role
- Solid debugging and troubleshooting experience and experience with automation of quality into processes
- 4+ years’ experience with Windows & Linux applications
- 3+ years’ experience working CI/CD pipelines and tooling & SCM tooling - Git
- 2+ years’ experience working with Docker / Kubernetes, and cloud platforms – AWS / Azure / GCP
- Configuration Management tooling – Terraform / Ansible
Desirable
- Bash, Python and Powershell
- Jenkins, Harness IO and Argo CD
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-code
- Working experience in large global company
- Working experience of monitoring cloud infrastructure – Datadog, Prometheus & Grafana
- API Gateways – AWS, Apigee & Kong
